§          Projects included: 

§Took the full software life cycle and converting a Perl based website system into a J2EE/Java based system. Setup and coded in a heavy JSP/Servlet based environment with mySQL and SQL Server backend. Started with UML, Requirements gather, and Use Cases and put a plan in place. Also wrote custom database exporting and conversion tools to transfer data from SQL Server Saleslogix structure into a mySQL database schema which was completely different.

§Responsible for Saleslogix administration, users, and development.

§Created company Intranet in Java/J2EE to keep track of Call Logs, Do Not Call List, Employees, Entrance and Exit Reviews, and support.

§Set up DNS servers and installed Web Server redundancy via Round Robin DNS entries. Set up Apache front for Tomcat servers.

§Hands on responsibility for Network Administration such as Active Directory, File/Print Server, and email systems.

§          7-month project for General Cologne Reinsurance included custom java/swing application. Used UML/Use case modeling to create solid project foundations as well as requirements and estimates. Responsible for most of main user interface including JFC/Swing. Wrote a custom extension for JTextField to handle formatting for international currency. Application was a global, strategic application which let them collect information necessary manage their risks globally, was robust (low defect rate), and the first of its kind. Project included work with Weblogic server, model objects, and work with Sybase server.

§         Environment used Lotus Notes for contact management.
